Some good news : Helo 2 reports fire heading towards Peconic River.

SCPD HELICOPTER 2 reports 1/2 mile fire line. Wildwood Park Rangers now mixing it up. 6 more brush trucks moving from staging into the fire line.

1st Division Units from Lyndenhurst now on scene.

5th Division units really working hard. Some 3rd Division units from Gordon Heights and West Islip now on scene.

Now I am not even going to pretend about knowing anything about fighting fires…..but if you have to put out a fire to GET to the fire…that can’t be good.

My brother recently transferred off Ocean Beach. He is either with Centereach or Middle Island. Middle Island just made it through and hooked up with three other brush trucks.
